I’m an expert digital generalist and an empathetic leader passionate about problem-solving and growing individuals.
Having worked across a wide range of companies and domains at the intersection of business and tech, I have collected a wide range of experiences and understand both sides of the problem. This enables me to quickly anticipate and evaluate future challenges and focus on getting things done. Being a generalist, I have also learned the importance of teaming up with specialists and creating diverse teams.
What I do
-
Interim Product Director; Senior PM contractor
During my career, I have worked as Product Manager, Product Owner and Group Product Manager in the digital space. It has ranged from web/backend to game engine and apps and website.
I can work both as a hands-on PM or more strategically and also as PM coach. Dependant on the product life cycle and organisational maturity of the organisation , I will prioritise structure and status of the roadmap.
-
Interim Head of operations; COO
I’m a doer and translate vision into clear actions.
I also know how to build teams, identify talent and organize teams to achieve a mission.
I identify opportunities to improve the initial vision, to shape it into something even better.
-
I love data and spreadsheets. I can spend hours cleaning data and digging in databases to find relevant data, making sure all sources are correct so that we can start looking at patterns and relationships between data sets.
However I’m not a data scientist so I can’t do fancy statistical analysis and forecast. My strong suit is identifying measurable and actionalble data.
My approach
I don’t like general solutions to specific problems as very few solutions are one size fits all. I prefer to adapt my methods to the people and tasks at hand.
First I’ll do a thorough analysis to understand the situation and underlying mechanisms. I also believe clarity, transparency, and shared goals are essential to a thriving, sustainable business.
In chaotic environments, I will always start by establishing processes and setting up systems that provide more clarity to the team. When the base is in order, I proceed to see if the organization has defined its why (Yes, I’m a fan of Simon Sinek) and consequently its what and how.
If I have my product hat on, I’ll look at the processes to gather user feedback, establish the data maturity of the team, how the backlog is generated, and so forth. If I have more of an operations hat on, I’ll start looking at any process that the existing team finds challenging, e.g. leads pipeline CRM or customer support.
Why hire me?
I’m a smart, strategic thinker who is versatile and equipped for tackling a wide range of situations. This is particularly attractive for smaller or entrepreneurial companies for whom it is advantageous to have one employee capable of taking on tasks outside of a specialist role.
Secondly, I genuinely care about people and want to be part of forming a people-focused organisation, where investment in employee happiness and well-being is seen as a key driver for growth and sustainable profitability.
Finally, because although ambitious, I’m rather laid back and fun.
